The Austrian Silver Philharmonic Coins were introduced in 2008 bearing the same design as their gold sibling.

The obverse of the Austrian Silver Philharmonic Coin is stamped with the name of the Austrian Philharmonic Orchestra in German and features a montage of instruments, such as a string bass, cellos, violins and a Viennese horn.

The reverse of the coin is stamped with the ‘Great Organ’, found in the famed Vienna concert hall, home of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. This side is also stamped with the coin’s country of issue, the silver weight in ounces and its purity.
